Yired UK CIC is a newly founded non-profit youth organisation dedicated to helping & empowering those who want to change their lives around and are coming from disadvantaged backgrounds or do not have family members available to support them. They also work with families with SEN children that need that extra support in maintaining a healthy home environment.

As Yired UK CIC develops, their aim is to increase awareness to the public about their organisation so they are able to have a bigger impact. They strongly depend on funding & donations to carry out their services & implementing development programmes to help people to achieve major and long-lasting improvements in their lives.

In order to carry out their crucial work and to continue to fulfil their mission, Yired UK CIC needs to not only get noticed but to also administer a professional and competent service. - This is where you come in!

The Role:

As Outreach assistant for Yired UK CIC, you will typically work side by side with the directors assisting them with duties that need to be carried out to ensure the smooth execution of the organisation. This role is to free some of the executive’s time from organising and administrative tasks so that they can spend maximum time on strategic tasks. You will also be leafleting the surrounding areas & approaching members of the public on the High Street to introduce them to Yired UK CIC’s life changing work and ask them to support our mission. You may be asked to assist with the production of content for Yired UK CIC’s social media platforms by engaging with members of the public & completing the occasional questionnaire.

 

Responsibilities typically include:

  • acting as a first point of contact: dealing with correspondence and phone calls

  • managing diaries and assisting with the organising of meetings, appointments and events.

  • booking and arranging travel, transport and accommodation, events and various activities.

  • being filmed and photographed for YIRED UK CIC social media platforms

  • reminding the director of important tasks and deadlines

  • typing, compiling and preparing reports, presentations and correspondence

  • managing databases and filing systems

  • implementing and maintaining procedures/administrative systems

  • liaising with staff, external organisations, suppliers and service users

  • assisting with the running of YIRED UK CIC’s online store

  • miscellaneous tasks to support the directors, to ensure that the business is being run properly and complying with legislation and regulations or conducting research

  • Handing out leaflets

  • Engaging with members of the public

  • Raising funds for the continuation of the organisation.

The ideal candidate will be outgoing, charismatic and confident. As an Outreach Assistant of Yired UK, you will be able to strike up a conversation with anyone and will be able to brush off rejection lightly. Working from various locations you will be resilient, passionate, and want to make a difference. You will also like to challenge yourself and have a strong moral compass.
